The Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) is a driving force behind the push for quality in an effort to slow down the skyrocketing costs and chart a course toward value as opposed to volume. In February, CMS published the star ratings for hospitals using updated methodology and published the quality data on the hospital compare website.
